Which ED ring should I buy?

FirmTech’s pick is the TechRing ($275) if you want firmer erections plus data on firmness, duration and nighttime erections. If you only want erection support, the FirmTech Performance Ring ($60) gives the same 12-hour wear time with nothing to charge. The MaxPR ($60) is the tightest ring, for men who want maximum intensity.

It depends on your goal. The TechRing wins if you want to track your sexual health or share data with a doctor. The Performance Ring wins on price and simplicity. The MaxPR fits a narrower case: the snuggest hold, worn no more than 90 minutes. If your erect girth is over 5.5 inches, a ring sold in several sizes may fit better than any FirmTech ring.

ED rings, explained in three cards

What is an ED ring?

An ED ring, also called an erection ring or tension ring, is a soft band worn at the base of the penis. It applies gentle, even pressure that slows blood from flowing back out, so an erection can stay firmer for longer while the ring is worn.

FirmTech rings use a peno-scrotal design: one loop around the base of the penis and one behind the testicles, with an adjustable hook-and-latch strap. They are designed with urologists and made from medical-grade, latex-free elastomer. A ring helps hold an erection; it does not treat the cause of erectile dysfunction.

How to choose a ring in three steps

  1. Decide if you want data. If yes, choose the TechRing. If not, pick a $60 ring.
  2. Pick a fit. Want comfort and up to 12 hours? Performance Ring. Want the tightest hold for up to 90 minutes? MaxPR.
  3. Check your size. Measure erect girth at the base. At 5.5 inches or less, FirmTech rings fit. See the size chart.

Are ED rings safe to use?

Used as directed, a ring is a low-tech, drug-free option, but wear limits matter. FirmTech rates the TechRing and Performance Ring for up to 12 hours and the MaxPR for up to 90 minutes. Healthline’s general guidance for cock rings is no more than 20 minutes at a time. Remove any ring that hurts, and ask a doctor first if you take blood thinners.

How we chose

This page was written by FirmTech, which publishes this site and makes every ring it ranks. We judge each ring on the same criteria: what it does (support only or support plus tracking), price, tightness, safe wear time, warranty and what verified buyers say on FirmTech’s reviews page. FirmTech’s own pick is listed first. Nothing here is an independent test or audit.

ED ring questions, answered

See all FAQs
  • What do ED ring reviews say about FirmTech?

FirmTech rings average 4.6 out of 5 across 101 written reviews on FirmTech’s reviews page, as of November 2026. Of those, 78 give 5 stars and 14 give 4 stars. Buyers most often mention comfort, ease of use and, for the TechRing, how much detail the nighttime erection data shows.

More on this in the FAQ
  • Are there negative FirmTech ring reviews?

Yes. Of 101 written reviews as of November 2026, 4 give 3 stars, 2 give 2 stars and 3 give 1 star, so 9 sit at 3 stars or below. This site shows the full star breakdown rather than only five-star quotes, so you can weigh both sides before you buy.

More on this in the FAQ
  • Which FirmTech ring is best for erectile dysfunction?

FirmTech’s top pick is the TechRing at $275, because it supports erections and measures firmness, duration and nighttime erections you can share with a doctor. If you only want support, the Performance Ring gives the same 12-hour wear time for $60. Choose the MaxPR if you want the tightest hold.

More on this in the FAQ
  • Do rings help you stay hard?

For many men, yes, while the ring is worn. A ring at the base applies gentle pressure that slows blood from flowing back out, so an erection can stay firmer for longer. The effect is mechanical and lasts only while the ring is on. It does not treat the underlying cause of erectile dysfunction.

More on this in the FAQ
  • How much does an erectile dysfunction ring cost?

FirmTech’s ED rings cost $60 for the Performance Ring or the MaxPR and $275 for the TechRing, as of November 2026. Bundles pairing the TechRing with a second ring cost $295 instead of $335. Shipping is free on orders over $100, and all three rings are HSA/FSA eligible.

More on this in the FAQ
  • Where can I buy erectile dysfunction rings?

You can buy FirmTech erectile dysfunction rings online at getfirmtech.com, which sells nationwide and ships in plain, unbranded boxes. FirmTech also lists doctors, men’s health clinics and retail stores that carry its rings on its location map at getfirmtech.com/where-to-buy, so you can check for a nearby option.

More on this in the FAQ
  • What size ED ring do I need?

One FirmTech ring size fits about 95% of men, up to 5.5 inches (14 cm) of erect girth at the base. The strap adjusts to your exact size, so there is no size to pick at checkout. To check, wrap a soft tape or string around the base when erect and compare it with 5.5 inches.

More on this in the FAQ
  • What are the side effects of erection rings?

Common erection ring side effects include discomfort, numbness, a cold feeling or bruising when a ring is too tight or worn too long. A painful erection lasting more than 4 hours is a medical emergency. Remove the ring if you feel pain, and ask a doctor first if you have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners.
